Sikhi
This is my personal catalogue, notes I keep as I learn, kept here because sharing them makes the learning sweeter. Puratan maryada, itihas, tools, and things I believe are worth preserving.
A note: this part of the site is more personal than the rest. I catalogue what I learn here mostly for future me, and for other Sikh readers doing the same kind of digging.
New here and don’t understand Punjabi? A quick glossary: puratan = pre-colonial/traditional practice, as opposed to standardized 20th-century versions; panth = the Sikh community; jot = the Guru’s spiritual authority, passed from Guru Nanak through nine successors and into the Guru Granth Sahib; maryada = a code of daily practice; shaheed = martyr. Everything below builds on those five words.
